BENOPE Protein bar Cacao

I saw this BENOPE cacao protein bar advertised on a social media platform and began investigating.My biggest "thing" when looking for a protein bar is for it to NOT contain mantol or asulfamine K or Sucralose. I don't like how I feel when ingesting those products so I keep away.I also keep away from canola oil.I don't mind soy or whey though I do really like vegan sources for protein; in this case that wasn't my criteria.These bars have 170 calories, 3 g of fat, and 14g of fiber , 29 carbs, 4g total sugar and 2 g added sugar. NOT BAD IMHO for what I was looking forThey are sweetened with ALLULOSE and frutigooligosacchrides (sp) and there is a little sugar in the chocolate.Their texture is a dense cake-like brownie bar that's got a fine grit and a teensy crunch. That's my description but looking at others who've reviewed I see very similar descriptives.They're on the HARDER side, firm, dense and pretty simple.No coatings, no goo, no fluffI tried them because they had a 25% off coupon and I thought that 20 bucks for a pack of 12 was definitely worth it. It definitely is. I've ordered the other flavor which has lower ratings but I want to try it.These are made in KoreaNow this could mean a price hike in the near future with a new "government" incoming TBDAgain, I quite like themI've had two so far .... one yesterday and one today. No GI upset or "gassiness" (always a plus)They come packaged nicely and the box is cuteIf you're more into WHAT you consume than eating a candy like protein bar you'll probably like them alsoI definitely recommend trying themNo off-putting taste (though the final ingredient is stevia glycosides)--I don't taste itLIKE!!! I hope they keep adding to the flavor array.

Yes, these are slightly drier than the typical protein bars, but these are not your typical protein bars. They aree not too dry either. The best thing about these is that they are low fat, high protein, low sugar, and do NOT contain sucralose (which is not a healthy sweetener but is in too many protein bars and shakes).I eat these as snacks, and sometimes I eat one of these bars for lunch, like when I've got back-to-back meetings.Benope bars are quite tasty!They're not candy bars, which many protein bars essentially are, but they taste good. I've tried both flavors that Amazon carries and like them both.

I have tried all the Benope protein bar flavors now! Cacao is definitely one of the best (followed closely by Sweet Potato, Black Sesame, Injeolmi, Matcha, Peanut butter, and Cookies & Cream). I love the consistency of the bars. They taste even better when warmed (especially the Cacao flavor because the chocolate chunks taste great melted). Great macros! Very high fiber and protein content for anyone this may concern. It's great these hit so many macros while being 170 calories.

I was looking to replace my current protein bars with one that had less fat but still a lot of protein. Happy with these ones. They remind me of quest bars but more soft and with a less powdery/ dry feel the quest bars have. People think protein bars should taste like candy bars (some do and are even worse than candy bars). These are tasty but not like a candy bar. Will buy again!

Not only is the protein to calorie ratio very good with this bar (half the cals of Gatorade branded bars with the same amount of protein) but they are also actually edible. Gatorades bars taste much better and better texture, but if calorie count is important, these bars are a very easy option.
